Drainage system is the natural or artificial removal of surface and sub-surface water from area.
It can also be defined as the method and process employed for the removal f water either from the soil-surface, by the side of buildings, the main purpose is to control erosion, storm water and prevent the occurrences of flooding.
Drainage system is a system by which the water level on or in the soil is controlled in other to avoid flooding. Coterell (1980).
